Ralph Lauren Spring Fashion Film

Global campaign filmed in Los Angeles, February 2021

The story of Ralph Lauren's Spring 2021 collection came to life as Janelle Monáe performed renditions of her favourite songs. The performance was captured in Ralph Lauren's Rodeo Drive Store, during the pandemic, and directed by film director and producer Mark Ritchie.

Firstly, a short film was created to tease the performance. To promote the event, footage was cut of Janelle into the Spring 2021 Collection & Purple Label film — and included an exclusive track by the singer, too.

Janelle's live performance was held in the 888 Rodeo Drive flagship store. Dressed in the collection, she sung five songs with a band accompaniment. To engage with the brands audience, a live interview session with Janelle Monáe was held after the show.

The performance was streamed across all Social Media channels, with assets shared as part of the wider Marketing and PR campaign.
